This webinar will explore the nature of attachment in early childhood relationships, including the four types of attachment and the basic emotional needs of children. The webinar will also explain the ways in which early attachment can negatively impact adult relationships.
Participants will learn:
- God’s design for healthy attachment to Himself and other significant people
- The four attachment patterns and basic emotional needs of children
- The impact of insecure attachment on children
- The negative implications of insecure attachment in adult relationships
- Ways to discuss attachment patterns with counselees in order to create goals for growth
Presenters
Beth Broom, LPC-S, CCTP-II
Beth Broom is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Level 2 (CCTP-II). She owns a private counseling practice specializing in trauma healing. She also serves as a Deacon of Care at The Village Church Denton in Denton, Texas. Beth is the founder and director of Christian Trauma Healing Network, and she co-hosts a podcast called “Counsel for Life,” engaging conversations about mental health and the Christian life.
Christian Trauma Healing Network has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7313. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Christian Trauma Healing Network is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
