Summary

Suffering leaves people longing for comfort and connection. As Christian helpers, we point those who suffer to the God who offers both. Yet for many reasons, some people feel unsafe in God’s presence, even as they need him most. This webinar looks at how we can gently lead them toward the truth of God’s compassion and kindness while honoring the real struggles they carry. Participants will leave with practical tools and biblical wisdom for walking alongside others as they move toward the Lord.

Learning Objectives

Participants will:

  • Recognize the reasons a person may feel unsafe with God, and grow in compassion as a result
  • Develop practical skills for offering patient, gentle guidance
  • Deepen their understanding of God’s character from Scripture, and learn how to respond faithfully when they or others feel hesitant toward him or want to avoid him
